Dr Cameron Scott
Oral & Maxillofacial / Head and Neck Surgeon
Dr. Cameron Scott is a highly experienced Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with a comprehensive scope of practice. H Cancel e completed his Bachelor of Dental Science (BDSc) in 1996 and his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2001, both from the University of Queensland.
Dr. Scott further specialised by attaining his Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (FRACDS – OMS) in 2009.
With 15 years of experience working in the Northern Territory, Dr. Scott has served at the Royal Darwin, Alice Springs, and Darwin Private Hospitals. His expertise covers a wide range of areas, including head and neck trauma, pathology, infections, dentoalveolar and implant surgery, orthognathic surgery, and head and neck pain syndromes. He has an extended practice in head and neck oncology, including ablative and reconstructive surgeries, and treats conditions related to the parotid, thyroid, and parathyroid glands.
Dr. Scott is a member of several professional organisations, including the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS), the Australian Medical Association (AMA), the Australia and New Zealand Head and Neck Cancer Society (ANZHNCS), and the International Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons (IAOMS).
His commitment to global health is evident through his volunteer work in Vanuatu, Kiribati, the Solomon Islands, Nepal, and Bangladesh. Dr. Scott has a personal connection to Tasmania, having spent many holidays in Launceston with his grandparents. An outdoor enthusiast, he has extensively explored Tasmania’s natural beauty and enjoys competitive sports. As he transitions from the tropical climate of the Northern Territory to Tasmania’s cooler winters, Dr. Scott looks forward to embracing new opportunities and challenges in the region.
